Leather Care

We've been making leather products right here in our shop, in the USA for over 20 years. One thing we've found, is that if properly cared for, leather will last a lifetime! We still use the original samples, made from patterns designed while sitting around our kitchen table back in the early 90's. These leather pieces are still in the same condition as the day they were made, no warping, no cracks in the leather and the colors have not faded.

The leather care products below are ones we use in our leather shop. We highly recommend these for use on all our leather items that we manufacture. Our leather products are used mainly by actors, fair goers, reenactors and LARPers, and as such are out in the sunshine and rain. It is important to keep your leather clean, conditioned, oiled and sealed.

There are two exceptions, our heavy leather armour and our suede products. Leather armour should not be oiled, as this will take out the stiffness, which is what you need for protection. Leather armor only needs to be cleaned and sealed with leather shene to keep it in pristine condition. Suede leather really needs no maintenance other than keeping it clean.
