The Dark Elven Blade is a 60 cm (23.6 inch) chopping short sword forged in an ominous style. The gently curved, single-edged 46 cm (18.1 inch) blade is handpainted to resemble bleached bone, with a matching clawed crossguard and pommel. The 14 cm (5.5 inch) oval handle is wrapped in split-leather for an enhanced grip, while a pistol ring on the crossguard provides extra control.

Inspired by the iconic shamshir or scimitar swords of the Middle East, the Dark Elven Blade evokes the dark elves first mentioned in 13th century Norse mythology as the Dökkálfar or Svartálfar in the Prose Edda.
