This versatile piece can be worn independently or as additional padding under mail or armor. It is donned like a jacket, secured with cotton cords along the front, sides, and back, allowing for a customized fit. The detachable sleeves, attached via cotton cords threaded through durable brass eyelets, provide further adaptability. Eyelets on the bottom front hem allow for the attachment of hose and leg harnesses, ensuring you can dress like a proper knight.

Quilted armors have a rich history dating back to at least 400 BCE. Originally used as padding under chainmail or plate armor, this particular style is inspired by 14th-century doublets. The eyelets at the bottom hem are a nod to historical designs used to secure hose.
